First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes <fill in the blank> with a baby carriage! Somewhere in between marriage and carriage comes a wonderful baby shower. Somewhere in the baby shower planning comes a cake (and favors, always favors).

I had so much fun pulling these together for you. I hope you find inspiration here. I know they’ll make you hungry for cake!

Favors at a baby shower are a nice way to say thank you, but did you know that favors also make great prizes for baby shower games?

Such cuteness factor! I hope yo
u enjoyed!

A Little Wine with Your Wedding?
Burgundy, claret, merlot – whatever you want to call it, they’re all the rich colors of red wines – which are really hot this time of year!
Our new friend, Lynsey up in North Carolina is amazing – she just got married herself, and is busy planning a bridal shower and a bachelorette party for her brother’s fiance, Taylor. Yes! She’s using our favors for both, and she’s generously agreed to share the details with all of you later so stay tuned!
Taylor’s wedding colors are wine and ivory – which is what set my mind on this lovely shade. Look what I came up with!

Yummy colors!
Oh! And here’s a picture of the new Mrs. Lynsey at her very recent wedding – isn’t she a doll?

I’m looking forward to all the details of Lynsey’s plans for Miss Taylor!

Then I suggest you look at Ms. Mary Blum, “Eventista” and owner of Marcy Blum Associates, headquartered in New York City. FABuLous! She’s had many high profile clients (all of whom you’ll recognize) and is co-author of Wedding Planning for Dummies (god bless her). She has THE cutest site – just click the picture below to check it out. Enjoy!

Simply stunning, sensuously scented, a burst of fragrantly silky cream on rich green leaves, the gardenia has been a classic bride favorite for centuries. Symbolizing secret love, purity and refinement, gardenias lend an old-world ambiance to your wedding.

Tuck one luscious blossom behind your ear, or pin a whole garland of them to the bow on the back of your dress a la Victorian weddings. Rim the edge of your veil with the flowers, or your florist can make you a lovely bracelet of gardenias. Then every time you lift you hand the delicious fragrance releases into the air!

Gardenias mix sumptuously with other flowers in a bouquet. The late Princess Diana’s bouquet, which measured an amazing 42″ long and 15″ wide, prominently featured gardenias mixed with stephanotis, freesia, lily of the valley, and Earl of Mountbatten roses.
Sooooo… a touch of fragrant Victorian flair for you?
