Congratulations are in order for Holli and her fiancee, Aaron, the latest lucky recipients of a Kate Aspen Wedding Full of Favors. Aren’t they the cutest couple?
According to the bride-to-be, she met Aaron when a mutual friend invited her to watch a hockey game at another friend’s apartment. Although there was an instant attraction, they simply became good friends since neither one was looking for a romantic relationship at the time. Fortunately friendship blossomed into dating!
After four years together, early one morning at 4 a.m., Aaron took Holli to take a few pictures of the sunrise over the beautiful Rocky Mountains at Estes Park in Colorado.
Here’s Holli’s account of the special moment: “We got up at 4am to drive there and see the sunrise. I wasn’t suspicious because that is something that we would normally do; however, when we got there I did think “shoot I wish he would propose here its so gorgeous!” A couple weeks before he kept telling me that he couldn’t afford a ring and it was going to be awhile till he could get one. We stopped at this really neat rock formation and we were taking pictures of the scenery. I turned to take a picture and when I turned back he was on one knee smiling! I thought he was joking and so I told him to get up because its wasn’t nice to joke about it. He said he wasn’t joking and then he pulled out the ring and I just started bawling! It was the most beautiful spot and it was such a wonderful experience!”
Isn’t that just the best?
The ceremony will be this coming June in Lafayette, Colorado. Holli’s chosen green and brown for her wedding colors, and the bridesmaids will carry brightly colored Gerbera daisies to complement her wedding bouquet of white daisies. Pretty and so appropriate for the setting, don’t you think?
Holli selected our Good Wishes Pearlized Photo Coasters for her wedding favors. We’re just tickled pink to be a small but memorable part of Holli and Aaron’s special day! Best wishes to you both from all of us here at Kate Aspen!
Such a cute couple …
