You have FABULOUS childhood memories of family vacations in the sand, don’t you?  Remember sitting just at the edge of the water, where the last lap of wave glides up across your feet – giving you just enough ingredients to make the perfect mixture for dribble castles?

BTW, did you ever finish digging that sandy hole all the way to China? We never did!

So of course the beach is the perfect place to say your vows. How will you color your day?  Are you more inclined toward soft, natural, seaside hues?  Bright, tropical celebration colors? Or maybe your favorite is a sunny, citrus yellow?

Alfred Angelo has been designing the perfect rainbow of choices for your beach wedding ceremony for over 75 years.  For the discerning bride who loves the natural blues and seafoam greens of a beach wedding, they offer lovely colors and designs that are absolutely perfect for your beach bridesmaids!

And you know we have the consummate collection of beach-themed favors to match!

Visit Alfred Angelo’s gorgeous site to find your favorite colors of the sea!

Happy beach dreaming!

Kate Aspen has just the perfect keepsake favor for your beach-themed wedding day.

Tablescaping 101 – Beach Weddings!

Woo Hoo!  We found this one on Flickr.com and oh how we wish we were at Cap Juluca, too! That’s where this picture’s from.   Heavenly Anguilla!

Even though your wedding budget might not include a posh Caribbean resort, you can still share a little beach love with delicious ideas for a beach tablescape (and beach favors, too!).

Some cute ideas to consider:

Beach junk + Citrus + Blue Hyacinth (atop a mirrored base)

A little sand, some driftwood, pieces of fishing net surround a clear container holding fresh hyacinth and limes – how beachy-easy is that?  Dress up the table with the elegant solid chrome shell bottle stopper in a coordinating personality box, or keep it eco-friendly and casual with bamboo!

Conch – From Fritters to Fabulous Centerpiece!

It makes good soup, too – but did you ever think about conch as a centerpiece?  Stuff with damp oasis, insert flowers and voila!  Beach-perfection!  Accent each place setting with a polished shell place card holder – put some engagement photos of the two of you around in the shell frames, and send your guests home with Beach Memories in these clever little photo albums!

Fabulous Fish-scapes!

Simple gold fish in a simply lovely crystal bowl, the glass pebbles at the bottom reflecting the colors of your beautiful day.  Accent with tea light candles flickering in lovely light house-themed holders, and mark each place with the delightful silver-toned miniature sailboat place card holders.  The favor to remember?  Kissing fish, of course!

Have a Ball!

Oh this one is just plain fun! Brightly colored tablecloths, beach balls already in the air so let’s get the sand castles up on the tables to act as candle holders and place card holders, sprinkle around some sassy flip flop frames with souvenir pics of you and your new husband, and be sure to say thank you with the super-cute shell bottle opener – presentation ready complete with a thank you tag!

Happy Planning!  :)

I just got back from four beautiful days in the Caribbean – a much-needed break for me.  But I want you to know that I flew down from Atlanta with no less than three wedding dresses and their soon-2-be newlywed owners.  It was just so cute to see them and their wedding parties all boarding the plane, the dress being the only carry-on luggage.  There are so many gorgeous places to get married down there.  So many aqua-blue memories to be treasured.

But it’s back to work for me!  We’re getting snorkel-deep into the 2010 new product development process and I just know you’re all going to love what’s coming!  While I play catch-up today, please enjoy a few links to great places to get married in the Caribbean, and perhaps a few perfect favors for the occasion?  ;)

seaglass  St. John, USVI.  Click the picture to go to one site where you can get an idea about what’s involved in planning a wedding on this picture-perfect island paradise.  Since it’s a United States territory, it is a bit easier to get all documentation and planning necessary for a romantic cermony here.

seaglass1  Bassetterre, St. Kitts.  A beautiful island just below St. Marten/Snt. Maarten, because it is a British territory, you’ll need to do a bit of footwork prior to making your ceremony plans.  But oh the scenery!  Look at Rawlins Plantation among others – the view will take your breath away!  I’ve linked Rawlins to the picture just to make it a bit easier for you!

seaglass  Grand Case, St. Martin.  A lot of people think of St. Martin as the French side of the Cruise Ship dock.  Oh no – look again my friend!  Down in the quaint little village in Grand Case, there are quiet, serenely dreamy beaches and venues for your wedding.  Grand Case Beach Club has a lovely, flower-bedecked cliff on their property for just that purpose!  I’ve linked Grand Case Beach Club to the picture.  Take a look!

Hey!  Here’s an idea!  If you are getting married in the Caribbean, or if you’ve already done so, send me a picture of your beautiful ceremony and I’ll share it here with everyone else!  Just email it with your names and the date of your ceremony to kate@theaspenbrands.com.  I’ll let you know when it’s posted!

Happy Caribbean Dreams!
